Montgomery County Adds 97 Coronavirus Cases, Zero Deaths: Sept. 1
Montgomery County now has 20,103 confirmed coronavirus cases and 782 deaths.
BETHESDA, MD — Confirmed coronavirus cases in Montgomery County climbed by 97 to 20,103, the Maryland Department of Health reported Tuesday, while the death toll remained at 782.
Thirty-nine others may have died from COVID-19, but a lab test was never conducted. They are considered "probable deaths."
The county continues to have the highest number of deaths in the state. It also has the second highest number of confirmed cases, after Prince George's County, which has 26,356, according to the latest figures.

Statewide, there have been 108,863 confirmed cases, 3,617 deaths, and 144 "probable deaths."
Of the 385 currently hospitalized for the virus, 112 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
