One Year Later, Robyn Gardner's Family Hopes For Answers

Family and friends hold vigil in honor of missing North Bethesda woman.

August 2 marks a year since To mark the somber anniversary, family and friends held a vigil in her honor Tuesday, WJLA reported.

Gardner, who maintained an apartment in Frederick but had been living with her boyfriend in Grosvenor, was traveling with Gaithersburg businessman Gary Giordano when she went missing.

Giordano told Aruban authorities Gardner disappeared while the two were snorkeling. Giordano was , but was never charged.

One year later, the case remains unsolved, and Gardner's family is still hoping for answers.

"We'll continue to pray for Robin, for the answers we need and for closure of this devastating nightmare," Gardner's mother, Andrea Colson, told WJLA.

Gardner's sister Danielle said that after a year, the family "has hope that she's still out there, and she'll come home," the news station reported.
