Organic Butcher Of Bethesda To Feature Free Samples At Grand Opening On Saturday
The Organic Butcher of Bethesda is holding a grand opening on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for its new store on Old Georgetown Road.

BETHESDA, MD — The Organic Butcher of Bethesda is holding a grand opening celebration on Saturday for its new store on Old Georgetown Road, where it will feature free samples of meats, local beer and wine, and other offerings.
Modeled after old-fashioned English butcher shops, The Organic Butcher is a full-service, traditional butcher shop. The shop specializes in sustainably raised meat, seafood and local produce free of hormones and antibiotics.
The Bethesda location, in a space previously occupied by French restaurant Le Vieux Logis, is significantly larger than the original Organic Butcher shop in McLean.

“Our new location is larger and gives us the opportunity to stock more products and make prepared foods in house. Our short rib Mac n cheese and lasagna have been big hits so far,” said Don Roden, owner of both the Bethesda and McLean locations.
In addition to fresh cuts of meat, The Organic Butcher of Bethesda has house-prepared meats, sausages, prepared foods, produce and fresh bread delivered daily from a Baked Joint. It also has a large selection of local craft beers, boutique wines, artisan cheese and unique grocery items.

“I have been eyeing Bethesda for years as a potential place for expansion and am so excited to be here in this awesome community,” Roden said. "We are looking forward to sharing our passion for top quality food with the Bethesda community."
The Organic Butcher of Bethesda is located near the weekly farmer’s market at Bethesda Elementary School and a short walk from the Bethesda Metro station.
The grand opening event at The Organic Butcher of Bethesda will take place on Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The shop is located at 7925 Old Georgetown Road, at the intersection with Auburn Avenue.
The grand opening will have wine and beer from Artisan and Vines, Early Mountain Winery and Landmade Brewery, as well as various protein, cheese and charcuterie samples.
The store’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
