Outdoor Furniture Company JANUS Et Cie To Open Showroom In Bethesda

BETHESDA, MD — JANUS et Cie, a Los Angeles-based luxury outdoor furniture manufacturer, is planning to open a showroom in downtown Bethesda this fall, according to a report.

The new JANUS et Cie showroom will be located on the ground floor of the 7101 Wisconsin Avenue office tower, Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row reported.

JANUS et Cie has showrooms across the country. This will be the company’s first showroom in Maryland. A JANUS et Cie showroom in Georgetown recently closed.

In 2016, Poltrona Frau Group acquired JANUS et Cie. Poltrona Frau is part of the lifestyle design division of Haworth Inc., a Holland-based office furniture manufacturer.

“Through the acquisition of JANUS et Cie, we will enter the important segment of outdoor furniture, attaining a global leadership position thanks to the value of the brand and the size of the company,” Poltrona Frau Group CEO Dario Rinero said in a statement in 2016.

JANUS et Cie was founded in Los Angeles in 1978 by designer and entrepreneur Janice Feldman. The company principally works through its directly owned showrooms and 40 sales offices throughout the world.
