Pedestrian Identified Who Died After Being Struck By SUV In Wheaton
Authorities have released the name of a woman who was hit and killed Sunday night as she walked on Viers Mill Road in Wheaton.

WHEATON, MD — A pedestrian who was fatally struck by a Nissan Rogue just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Viers Mill Road in Wheaton has been identified. Montgomery County police said Blanca Elida Parada Del Cid, 47, of Kensington was hit by a car while crossing Veirs Mill Road.
The accident happened about 9:30 p.m. as Parada Del Cid was crossing Viers Mill Road near Galt Avenue.

She was struck by the driver of a Nissan Rogue. Parada Del Cid was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver of the Nissan remained at the accident site.
