Police Blotter: Jan. 16 - Jan. 24

Robberies, thefts reported in Bethesda.

 Montgomery County police recently released a summary of crimes in the second district from Jan. 16 to Jan. 24. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Jan. 19

  • There was an around 9 p.m.  Four to five suspects threatened a victim with a weapon and stole property. Police are describing the suspects as black males with covered faces, possibly wearing gloves.

  • A suspect threatened victims with a weapon in the 6800 block of Fairfax Road around 10:15 a.m.  A 28-year-old man from Bethesda was arrested.

Jan. 25

  • A victim was robbed at Woodmont Avenue and Old Georgetown Road at 1 a.m. The suspect assaulted the victim and stole property.

Eight thefts of property from outside homes over the course of the week were reported:

  • In the 5300 block Blackstone Road
  • In the 4000 block of 62nd Street.
  • In the 5300 block of Wakefield Road
  • In the 6700 block of Tulip Hill Terrace
  • In the 5700 block of Warwick Place
  • In the 5400 block of Goldsboro Road
  • In the 9000 block of Burdette Road
  • In the 8800 block of Burdette Road
