A summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Montgomery County Police recently released a summary of crimes in the second district from Jan. 9 through Jan. 17. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Jan. 11

  • There was a home invasion robbery in the 9200 block of Bardon Road. The man arrested in the case was also linked to home invasion robberies in Wheaton and Temple Hills.

  • A victim’s wallet was stolen at Elm Street and Woodmont Avenue around 12:10 p.m.
  • There was an attempted residential burglary in the 4800 block of Battery Lane sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 6:10 p.m.  There was attempted forced entry but nothing was stolen.

Jan. 13

  • A home was burglarized in the 6800 block of Fairfax Road around 5:30 p.m. There was unknown means of entry into the home and nothing was stolen.
  • A home was burglarized in the 5100 block of Bradley Boulevard sometime between 8 a.m. and 9:22 p.m. There was unknown means of entry into the home. Property was damaged, but nothing was stolen.

  • Property was stolen from the outside of a home in the 5400 block of Goldsboro Road sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
