UPDATE: Police Search for Missing Bethesda Man
Joachim Walter-Gustav Rogge, 53, was last seen on Saturday, May 28.
Update, June 3, 2:26 p.m.: Montgomery County Police are reporting that Rogge was last seen in Edgewood, MD. The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Rogge left home after a dispute with his wife.
Update, June 2, 4:40 p.m.: Fishbowl DC is reporting that Rogge is a U.S. correspondent for WAZ Mediengruppe, a German newswire service. There is still no sign of the journalist, who went missing on Saturday. Rogge's wife tells Fishbowl that their credit card was used at a Home Depot in Edgewater, Md., on Saturday, but that it hadn't been used since.

Joachim Walter-Gustav Rogge, 53, of the 6900 block of Marbury Road, was last seen when he left his home Saturday, May 28, around 1a.m. Since then, he hasn’t been in contact with his family or work associates.
Police say there is no evidence of foul play, but that it’s uncharacteristic for Rogge not to be in touch with his family or work.

Police are describing Rogge as a white male with brown hair, about five feet, nine inches tall and 150 pounds. When he was last seen, he was wearing a dark blue Izod polo shirt, dark blue knee-length shorts, and brown, low-cut Timberland shoes. He was carrying a small gray backpack and was driving a 2006 white Ford Explorer with a bike rack and Maryland tags 50678M8.
Police are asking anyone with information about Rogge’s whereabouts to call the Second District Investigative Section at 301-657-0112.
