Project Hope Announces Boston Marathon Team
Bethesda Resident Francis "Luke" Lukenbil will be apart of the marathon team to support the Project Hope organization.

From Project Hope: Project Hope announced today that Bethesda Resident Francis “Luke” Lukenbill is on a team of ten individuals running the 2017 Boston Marathon in support of the organization. Thanks to a partnership with John Hancock’s Non-Profit Program, Project Hope received ten entry bibs for the 121st Boston Marathon, which will take place Monday, April 17, 2017.
“We applaud Francis Lukenbill and our running team that symbolizes the struggles of our families with their hard work, dedication and commitment to reach the finish line,” said Linda Wood-Boyle, Executive Director of Project Hope. “Their journey of 26.2 miles, and all the training leading up to it, helps us raise vital funds and connects us to new sources of support. Join us in supporting our Project Hope runners as they pursue their fundraising goals for a great cause.”
We are very excited to have Luke Lukenbill run for Project Hope for the second time. He has run a total of 5 marathons. Luke says that Project Hope inspires him to be a better person, train harder, and do something noteworthy for those in need. Running the 2015 Marathon with Project Hope was the highlight of his life and he cannot wait to train and run again to help the lives of others in need. Please help support Luke by clicking here!
