BETHESDA, MD — Two white students at Walt Whitman High School are facing disciplinary action after they allegedly called one of their black classmates a racial slur, according to a news report.

Walt Whitman principal Dr. Alan Goodwin told News4 that the students called the black student the n-word. The students were disciplined according to Montgomery County Public School's Code of Conduct.

“Derogatory name-calling of any type is unacceptable with strong school consequences for any racist expressions, gender-charged words, and sexual identity references,” Goodwin said.
