Red Line Service Restored Between Twinbrook and Shady Grove

Pepco wires caused closure.

Update, 4:19p.m.: Service has been restored to the Red Line, Metro reported shortly after 3:30p.m.

Original Post: The Red Line is closed between the Twinbrook and Shady Grove stations due to Pepco power lines hanging above rail tracks, according to Metro.

Shuttle buses are running between the two stations, but commuters should expect delays. Pepco is working on the problem, but a Metro spokesman couldn't say when trains would be back up and running.
