Reward Increases for Hate Vandalism Cases at North Bethesda, Hoover
Up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in each crime.

Police discovered extensive vandalism, including hate language and sexual drawings, at Hoover July 13. On July 16, graffiti including an ethnically offensive word, sexual drawings and initials were discovered at North Bethesda Middle School in Bethesda. Seven vehicles along Beech drive were also found vandalized, one with the same ethnically offensive word.
Police are investigating whether the crimes are linked, along with a July 13 incident in Spencerville in which 20 cars were vandalized, two with hate-related graffiti.

Up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest or indictment in each of the three crimes -- $1,000 is being offered by Crime Solvers of Montgomery County, and $2,000 by the Montgomery County Police Anti-Hate/Violence Tipster Fund.
Anyone with information related to the July 13 vandalism in Spencerville is asked to contact the Detective Satinsky of the Fourth District Investigative Section at 240-773-5530. Those with information related to the Herbert Hoover Middle School vandalism is asked to call the First District Investigative Section at 240-773-6084. Anyone with information related to the North Bethesda Middle School vandalism is asked to call the Second District Investigative Section at 301-657-0112.
