Rockville Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash In Montgomery County

The crash occurred Sunday morning at an intersection in North Bethesda, police said.

NORTH BETHESDA, MD — A Rockville man died on Sunday when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a car, according to police.

The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. at Montrose Road and Tildenwood Drive in North Bethesda, Montgomery County police said in a release.

According to police, 63-year-old Charles Anthony Hawkins was driving a gray Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Montrose Road when he was struck by an eastbound Toyota Camry as the driver attempted to turn left onto Tildenwood Drive.

Hawkins suffered fatal injuries in the crash, police said. The driver of the Toyota remained on the scene.

This is an active and ongoing investigation, and CRU detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call 240-773-6620.
