Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
Mrs. Lisa Kriss was our daughter Aydina's first and third grade teacher at Westbrook Elementary School in Bethesda and always brings her best self to work, going above and beyond to look after students 1:1, bring out their strengths, keep them organized, challenge them to identify solutions to get stronger academically and mentally.
She helped Aydina embrace the love of learning and gave her motivation and was always kind. She is also a devoted mother and grandmother and commutes a long distance from her home near Hagerstown but is always positive and encouraging.
There are few like her in the world.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?
How selfless she is when it comes to her students and wanting them to achieve their best potential.
