BETHESDA, MD — Driving through downtown Bethesda next week? You may want to seek an alternative route.
Montgomery County officials say construction near 7272 Wisconsin Ave. will cause delays Monday, Aug. 24 through Friday, Aug. 28.
Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Wisconsin Avenue (MD 355) southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane between Elm Street and Bethesda Avenue. Signs and construction crew members will direct pedestrians and motorists through the work zones, according to officials.

Outside of daytime construction hours, the west sidewalk and right lane of southbound Wisconsin Avenue, between Elm Street and Bethesda Avenue, will be closed.
