Strathmore Square Developers To Break Ground On North Bethesda Project

The Strathmore Square project aims to turn the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station into a 2.2 million square foot mixed-use development.

BETHESDA, MD — Fivesquares Development/AIMCO, together with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority and the Amazon Housing Equity Fund, is holding a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday for the Strathmore Square joint development project in North Bethesda.

The project aims to turn the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station into a 2.2 million square foot mixed-use development, including affordable housing, arts and cultural venues with the Music Center at Strathmore, and a new public park.

Strathmore Square will be the first project to benefit from Montgomery County’s recently adopted 15-year real estate tax abatement program for high-rise residential development at Metro stations.
