Surveillance Photo Of Bethesda Bank Robbery Suspect Released By Police
Montgomery County Police are investigating an armed robbery of a TD Bank on Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda that occurred on Wednesday.

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County Police released surveillance photos on Friday of a suspect in the armed robbery of a bank in Bethesda on Wednesday. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
At about 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the TD Bank in the 8100 block of Wisconsin Ave. for a report of a bank robbery that had just occurred.
In their investigation, police learned that the suspect entered the bank and approached an employee who was working behind the teller counter. The suspect implied he had a weapon and demanded money, police said. The employee complied and handed the suspect a teller drawer, containing an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect took the money and left the scene, according to the police.

Detectives reviewed the surveillance cameras of the bank and obtained a description of the suspect. He is described as a Black male, in his 20s, about 5-feet, 10-inches tall, of a slim build, wearing a black ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, blue latex gloves and black pants.
Anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery is asked to call Montgomery County Police's Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070 or 240-773-TIPS, or contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
