Surveillance Photos Released Of Suspected Bethesda Burglars

Police are asking anyone with information about the location or identities of the men pictured to contact them.

Montgomery County Police have released surveillance photographs of suspects they believe may be responsible for Bethesda burglaries in August and October of 2011.

Police believe the same suspect is responsible for two burglaries, both of which happened in the overnight hours between Oct. 19 and Oct. 20, 2011, in the 7300 block of Longwood Drive and the 8600 block of Beech Tree Road.

They believe another suspect is responsible for two daytime burglaries, one on August 25, 2011 in the 7800 block of Glenbrook Road, and another on August 26, 2011 in the 10200 block of Fleming Avenue in North Bethesda.

The August and October incidents aren't believed to be connected, according to Montgomery County Police Spokeswoman Lucille Baur.

In the Longwood Drive burglary, the suspect stole a purse from the home and a laptop and other electronics from a car parked in a garage, according to police. During the Beech Tree Road burglary, a suspect stole cash and credit cards from a purse, which were used in Clinton, Upper Marlboro and Landover.

Police are releasing photographs of the suspect, obtained from a store as the suspect used a stolen credit card.

In both October incidents, police say the burglar may have entered through a garage door.

During both of the August burglaries, police say, the burglar gained access to the homes by breaking a glass panel on a door and stole laptops and electronics.

They believe the suspect, captured wearing a white shirt in surveillance photographs, may have connections to Washington, D.C. or Arlington, Va.

It's unknown whether the two suspects may be connected to more recent burglaries in Bethesda, Baur said. The second district has seen an in recent months.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspects pictured to contact Detective Scott in the Second District Investigative Section at 301-657-0112.

Anonymous tipsters may also text "MCPD" and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES).
