Suspected Pickpocket In Chevy Chase Investigated; Photographs Released

Montgomery County Police released surveillance footage of 4 suspects believed to be responsible for using a stolen credit card in stores.

CHEVY CHASE, MD — After lifting a woman's wallet at a Chevy Chase restaurant, police said the suspected thieves went on a spending spree with her credit card. Montgomery County Police on Tuesday released surveillance footage of two men and two women believed to be responsible, and asked for help identifying them.

On Nov. 11, the victim contacted police after receiving several alerts that her credit card was being fraudulently used at multiple stores. When she checked her purse, her wallet was missing.

Investigators said thieves stole the victim’s wallet at the Capital Grille in the 5300 block of Western Avenue. Officers obtained surveillance photos of the suspects, which are below.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects.

  • Black female, with short black hair, wearing a black coat with red trim, blue sweatpants, and light colored shoes
  • Black female, with short black hair, wearing glasses, a black and white jacket with a bear on the back, black shirt, black pants, black and white Nike sneakers and carrying purse
  • Black male, black and white plaid shirt, black pants and black shoes
  • Black male, wearing a black baseball hat with blue writing, jeans and black shoes
