Washington Folk Festival Returns To Glen Echo Park For Its 41st Year
Glen Echo Park is hosting the Washington Folk Festival June 3-4, an event that features an array of music, dancing, storytellers and crafts.

GLEN ECHO, MD — Glen Echo Park is hosting the Washington Folk Festival on June 3-4, an event that features an array of music, dancing, storytellers and artisans.
The 41st year of the Washington Folk Festival will take place, rain or shine, from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The free event will feature more than 85 hours of performances on seven stages on both Saturday and Sunday.
The event will include American music styles like bluegrass, honkytonk, blues, swing jazz, old-timey, rockabilly, skiffle and gospel. Visitors will also get to enjoy offerings from the British Isles, Mexico, North India, Scandinavia, Afghanistan, Greece, Italy, Slovakia, Paraguay, Spain and the Balkans.

The festival is presented by the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture and the Folklore Society of Greater Washington in partnership with the National Park Service and Montgomery County. Glen Echo Park is located at 7300 MacArthur Boulevard in Glen Echo, Maryland.
With limited on-site parking, organizers are offering a festival shuttle from the free Waverly parking lot at 7400 Waverly Street in Bethesda, one block from the Bethesda Metro station on the Red Line.
