Week in Review: Nov. 28 - Dec. 4

On Tuesday, an open house that focused on Capital Bikeshare coming to Montgomery County. At the meeting, officials announced they are to compete for state funds for a county Bikeshare program through the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Improvement program. At the meeting – – residents gave their feedback on where they would like to see Bikeshare stations in the Bethesda area.

Also on Tuesday, Gary Giordano, the Gaithersburg man suspected in the disappearance of North Bethesda woman Robyn Gardner, Giordano returned to the U.S. and where he maintained his innocence.

Wednesday, there was a after Stephanie Schwab, the woman known as the “Blonde Bandit,” crashed her car near Old Georgetown Road and the Beltway as she was being pursued by Fairfax County police. Schwab, 26, is suspected in bank robberies and carjackings in Baltimore County and Fairfax County.
