Youths Charged In 3 Robberies At Same Bethesda Liquor Store
Two youths face armed robbery charges after police said they held up the same Bethesda liquor store three times in a week.
BETHESDA, MD — Two youths face armed robbery charges after Montgomery County police said they held up the same Bethesda liquor store three times in a week.
Authorities have not released the age of the boys or their hometowns. The suspects were each charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of robbery.
The boys are accused of committing three armed robberies that occurred between July 8, 9 and 10 at the Geste Beer & Wine store, 4801 Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda.

On July 8, detectives said the suspects entered the store about 5 p.m., threatened an employee with an implied firearm, stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and left.
At 9:43 p.m. on July 9, the same suspects entered the store, made a threat to an employee that implied they had a handgun, took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and fled, a police news release.

Detectives watched surveillance footage from the store and a nearby Metro station to obtain a description of the suspected robbers.
On July 10, officers from the 2nd District Central Business-District Team were patrolling the 4800 block of Edgemoor Lane about 2:35 p.m. when they saw two boys who matched the description of the suspects, at the Geste Beer & Wine store.
When the suspects tried to steal money from the cash register, officers entered the store and arrested the youths, a news release said.
This case was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services, and both are being held at a youth facility.
