1 Driver Dies, Another In Critical Condition Following Crash
One driver has died and another remains in critical condition after they were involved in a crash early Sunday morning in Oxon Hill.
OXON HILL, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal crash that happened early Sunday morning in Oxon Hill.
On Oct. 26 at approximately 12:55 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to a two-vehicle collision that happened in the 6300 block of Oxon Hill Road. A preliminary investigation indicates that 57-year-old Percell Jerome Veney, Jr. of Alexandria, Virginia, was traveling westbound along Oxon Hill Road when, for reasons still under investigation, he crossed over into the eastbound turning lane and hit another vehicle. He died at the scene, according to police.
The driver of the second involved vehicle, an adult female, was taken to the hospital where she remains in critical condition, the police department stated.
