$100K Powerball Win Puts Pep In Retired Postman's Step

A retired postman from Prince George's County recently claimed $100K he won playing Powerball this summer.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A retired postman from Prince George’s County has found a new route to cover - one that leads him happily to the bank after winning $100,000 in a Powerball drawing.

The Prince George's man popped by Eastover Liquors at 4585 Telfair Boulevard in Camp Springs where he purchased a single quick pick ticket last this summer. He recently claimed his prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore where he told lottery officials he waited weeks before checking his ticket with his smartphone.

The result, he said left him “shocked” and “beaming with joy.” He said he plans to use his winnings to take a vacation and square his finances.
