$1M Winning Scratch-Off Ticket Bought At Prince George's Store
A New York City resident has won $1 million on a scratch-off ticket he bought at the Discount Tobacco and 99 Cent Store in Morningside.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A business in Morningside sold a winning $1 million scratch-off lottery ticket to a New York City man.
Maryland Lottery officials said the man stopped by Discount Tobacco and 99 Cent Store at 6701 Suitland Road in Morningside while visiting a friend in town. The winner plays the lottery wherever he's at as a "fun thing to do," he said while claiming the windfall at Maryland Lottery headquarters.
The winner was quite surprised at his big win with the $20 Millionaire's Club ticket, which went on sale in July 2024. He said the next biggest prize he's won was less than $500. He told lottery officials he plans to invest his winnings.
