Adoption Challenge In Prince George's Aims To Find Homes For 3K Pets Across Maryland
The Maryland 3,000 Adoption Challenge is underway this month with the goal of participating shelters placing 3K pets in loving homes.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — This month, participating shelters across Maryland are part of an adoption challenge to help 3,000 animals find homes, including right here in Prince George's County.
The Maryland 3,000 Adoption Challenge offers waived adoption fees and all adopted animals will be vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered.
The Prince George's County Animal Services Facility & Adoption Center, located at 3750 Brown Station Road in Upper Marlboro, is participating in the August challenge.

The adoption center is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They can be reached at 301‑780‑7200.
The City of College Park Animal Control also is participating in the August challenge. It's located at 7401 Baltimore Avenue, Suite 201. There are no public hours and people must contact the shelter for an appointment at Animalcontrol@collegeparkmd.gov or 240-487-3575.
