Bowie Senior Center Celebrates National Accreditation

The institute will receive the honorable plaque from the National Institute of Senior Centers Dec. 15.

With outstanding leadership and quality programs for older adults, Bowie Senior Center has been recognized for its services.

The National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC) chose 200 senior centers out of 15,000 nationwide to award the accreditation. Out of those honored, Bowie Senior Center is the only one located in Maryland.

The Bowie Senior Center, 14900 Health Center Drive, will celebrate the accreditation at 12:30 p.m. Monday. Jill Hall from the NISC will present the plaque of recognition to Senior Services Manager for the City of Bowie Katherine White.
