Boyfriend Charged In Bladensburg Woman's Fatal Shooting: Police
A Landover man has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of his girlfriend July 5, according to police.
LANDOVER, MD — A 32-year-old Landover man has been charged in connection to the death of his girlfriend.
On July 5 at approximately 3:35 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to an apartment in the 700 block of Stretford Way in the Landover area for a report of shooting. The victim, 29-year-old Sharita Cristwell of Bladensburg, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
After the shooting, the suspect - identified as 32-year-old Harry Lindsey of Landover - fled the scene. The Metro Transit Police Department provided surveillance video during the investigation that allowed detectives to determine Lindsey’s whereabouts. The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Fugitive Unit located and arrested him Sunday morning in Capitol Heights, the PGPD stated.

The preliminary investigation revealed Lindsey shot Cristwell during an argument. Lindsey has been charged with first- and second-degree murder. He’s in the custody of the Department of Corrections on no-bond status.
