Update, May 2, 10:00 a.m. No injuries were reported as a result of the Wednesday car fire on Route 50, according to PGFD spokesperson Mark Brady.  The fire was small likely mechanical in nature, Brady said. It was quickly extinguished. Orignal story Commuters using Route 50 through Bowie should be prepared for delays. Firefighters are responding to the scene of a car fire in the median near the Freeway Airport, according to Prince George's Fire/EMS Department spokesman Mark Brady. No other details are available at this time, but Brady tweets that residents should avoid the area.
