DC Man Charged In Oxon Hill Fatal Shooting From July

A D.C. man has been charged in connection to another D.C. man's fatal shooting that happened in Oxon Hill this past July, police say.

OXON HILL, MD — A Washington, D.C., man has been charged in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in July.

On July 12 around 8:20 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 5100 block of Indian Head Highway in Oxon Hill for a report of a shooting. They found 31-year-old Deon Damien Thomas of Washington, D.C., outside with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.

The PGPD’s Fugitive Unit located and arrested 45-year-old Daniel William Jackson of Washington, D.C., on Thursday. He has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and additional charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status, the police department reported.
