Electronic Devices Recycling Event in Prince George's County
Keep the environment safe by properly disposing of old equipment Dec. 6.

Electronics Recycling Day offers a safe way to get rid of e-waste.
If not disposed properly, electronics can release toxins into the environment and have damaging effects.
Between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dec. 6, Prince George’s County residents can drop off unwanted electronics at Friendly High School, 10000 Allentown Road or the City of Bowie Public Works Yard, 16500 Annapolis Road.

Residents who are unable to attend the event can bring unwanted items throughout the year to the Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site, 11611 White House Road, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
The following items will be accepted at Electronics Recycling Day:

- Computer components
- Computer speakers
- Copiers
- Fax machines
- Ink and toner cartridges
- Keyboards
- Laptop computers

- Surge protectors
- Telephones
- Telephone systems
- VCRs
- Wire
Compact disks and console televisions will not be accepted since they can be included in regular trash. There is a maximum of five monitors and/or television per vehicle.
