Another Fatal Crash Involving E-Bike Investigated By Prince George's Police
Prince George's Police is investigating two fatal crashes involving e-bikes. In one incident, the driver didn't remain at the scene.
DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — Another fatal crash involved an e-bike has been reported by Prince George's Police.
On Aug. 27 around 6:45 p.m., police officers were called to Pennsylvania Avenue near Walters Lane for a report of a crash. The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was traveling on Pennsylvania Avenue when the collision happened with the bicyclist in the southbound lanes. The cyclist died at the scene. The involved driver remained on the scene and was uninjured. The man driving the e-bike has not yet been identified by police, who is working to locate and notify his family, according to police.
On Aug 15 around 8 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the area of Shell Street and Billings Avenue for a report of a collision. Officers found 45-year-old Dameian Wilson of Capitol Heights in the road suffering from trauma. He died at the scene, according to police.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Wilson was heading northwest on Shell Street when he was it by a vehicle at the intersection with Billings Avenue. The driver involved in the incident did not stay at the scene and police continue to look for the driver and vehicle. They believe the vehicle is a blue 2001-2003 Ford F-150 Super Crew, which likely has damage to the front end, according to police.
