Free Drive-Up Pet Vaccination Clinic Planned In Upper Marlboro
A free drive-up pet vaccination clinic will take place later this month for residents. The clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
UPPER MARLBORO, MD — Pet owners whose dogs or cats need vaccines can participate in a free drive-up vaccination clinic Sept. 21.
The drive-up vaccination clinic at the Prince George's County Animal Services and Adoption Facility, 3750 Brown Station Road, Upper Marlboro, will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. while supplies last. It will be held rain or shine, organizers said.
Residents must show proof of residency and there's a maximum of two pets per household that can receive vaccines. The vaccination clinic will offer free rabies and distemper vaccinations, as well as microchipping. Free pet licenses also will be offered.

"We are excited to once again offer a free drive-up rabies and vaccination service to our Prince George's County residents for their beloved pets. The free services will help provide some financial relief to owners who want to ensure their pets stay healthy and happy," said David L. Fisher, chief and administrator for the ASD.
In addition to showing proof of residency, all pet owners going to the drive-up clinic must abide by the following guidelines:
- Pets must be at least four months old to receive a rabies vaccine. Rabies vaccines are good for one year unless a prior rabies certificate is provided at service.
- Pets younger than four months will only be allowed to receive a microchip.
- Pets must always be on a leash or in a carrier and under control.
- Be prepared to stay in your vehicle for an extended period.
- Animals will be removed from your vehicle to receive vaccination(s) when it is your turn.
- Supplies are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and registration does not guarantee that services will be rendered at the time you arrive.
