Man Arrested In Connection To Fatal Shooting Of Suitland Resident
An Upper Marlboro man has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a Suitland resident during an argument, police say.
SUITLAND, MD — An Upper Marlboro man has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Myandre McBride of Suitland.
On June 3 at approximately 12:35 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 5600 block of Regency Park Court for a report of a shooting. Officers found McBride and a second man inside an apartment, both with gunshot wounds. McBride was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. He remains in critical but stable condition, according to police.
During their investigation, detectives identified 35-year-old James Stewart of Upper Marlboro as the suspect. The preliminary investigation revealed that Stewart and McBride knew each other and were involved in an ongoing dispute, police stated.

Stewart has been charged with first-degree murder and related charges. He’s in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
