Man Killed Woman He Knew In PG County: Police

FAIRMOUNT HEIGHTS, MD — Police say they have arrested a man after a fatal shooting in Fairmount Heights last week.

Police were called to the 1000 block of 56th Avenue at around 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 15 to a report of a shooting, and they found 20-year-old Briana Green of Suitland suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested 43-year-old Charles Kelly, Jr. of Suitland. Police believe this was a domestic-related dispute, as they were in a relationship, the report says.

Kelly faces first and second degree murder charges, and is being held without bond, police said.
