OXON HILL, MD — A man is under arrest in connection with the fatal shooting of an Uber driver and a passenger in Oxon Hill on Tuesday, and police say he confessed to being high on drugs at the time.

Police were called to the area of Indian Head Highway and Bald Eagle Road for the report of a shooting, and found two victims inside of a car stopped on the roadway, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

Police identified the victims -- both pronounced dead at the scene -- as 46-year-old Beaudouin Tchakounte of Frederick and 32-year-old Casey Xavier Robinson of Accokeek, the report states. Police believe Tchakounte was working as an Uber driver at the time of the shooting, and Robinson was the passenger.
