Man Shot In Targeted Attack Outside Pharmacy In Prince George's County

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A man was fatally shot outside a CVS store in Prince George's County on Friday in what witnesses said was a targeted attack, according to police and reports.

According to county police, officers were called to the store at 7050 Allentown Rd. in Camp Springs around 10 a.m. for a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found a man outside on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

While police did not provide additional details about the shooting, witnesses interviewed by WTOP said it appeared the shooter and the victim knew each other.

Surveillance video obtained by News4 also showed the two men shaking hands on the sidewalk near the pharmacy's entrance. Shortly after, one of the men pulled a handgun from a backpack and opened fire.

The victim fell to the ground before the shooter stood over him and fired more shots, News4 reported. The man then fled the scene on a bicycle.
