Mayor Robinson: 'I'm Confident the Incumbents Will Win Reelection'
Mayor G. Frederick Robinson is in one of two opposed races this election cycle.

Incumbent Mayor G. Frederick Robinson's mood was light and positive as he made the rounds of Bowie's eight polling stations Tuesday afternoon, chatting up residents and asking for their votes.
"It's been a good day," he said at around 1 p.m., campaigning outside of the Kenhill Center in District 2. "People have been friendly and cheerful."
He said he'd been receiving comment after comment about how beautiful Bowie is, and how well the city is run.
"I'm confident the incumbents will win reelection," Robinson said.
District 2 resident Mike Fritz, who has lived in Bowie for 29 years, said much the same, calling the election "simple."
"I think everyone is happy with the status quo," Fritz said, citing the city's low crime rates and balanced budget as a few of the reasons he was pleased with the current administration.
Fritz also said he was in favor of extending council terms from two years to four.
Polls will be open in Bowie until 8 p.m. Tuesday. For more information on casting your ballot, check Patch's Election Guide.
