New Bowie Car Runs Entirely on Electricity
The 2015 Nissan LEAF is the latest of three hybrid vehicles used by city employees.
In a continued effort to go green, the City of Bowie has purchased its first totally electric car.
As the latest addition to the six Bowie vehicles, the 2015 Nissan LEAF will be used by city employees for mail deliveries, visiting facilities in the area, and attending meetings.
The $29,000 LEAF uses an advanced rechargeable lithium ion battery and can last up to 100 miles on a single charge, with alternative results depending on speed and systems use.
