Officer's Car Strikes Pedestrian In PG County: Police
A man was hospitalized after being struck by a police officer's car in Prince George's County, police say.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD — Police are investigating after a man was struck by an on-duty police officer on the way to court, police say.
Police responded to the intersection of Indian Head Highway at Livingston Road at around 8:07 a.m. on Tuesday, Prince George's County Police tweeted.
The officer -- who police initially described as off-duty but later said was on-duty and on the way to court -- was making a left turn from Livingston Road onto northbound MD 210 when the vehicle struck a pedestrian crossing MD 210, police said.

The man was flown to a local hospital. He has injuries that are not life-threatening and is currently listed in stable condition.
The officer was not in emergency status at the time of the collision, and investigators are trying to determine what happened, police said.
