Police say they have arrested a woman after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Prince George's County.

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — A woman was arrested after police found her walking away from a vehicle that they believe struck and killed a pedestrian.
Police were called to the 1200 block of Marblewood Avenue at around 11:40 p.m. on Sept. 19 for a welfare check, and they found 47-year-old Calvin Williams of Laurel unresponsive in the roadway with "injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle," according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Approximately 30 minutes prior, officers with the Seat Pleasant Police Department observed an unoccupied car with body damage near Martin Luther King Junior Highway and Business Parkway," the report states. "A woman who is believed to have been driving that car was located walking about a block away. It is believed the unoccupied car did strike Williams."
