Person Killed In Fatal Prince George's County Crash Identified

The deceased passenger is 48-year-old Corey Forrest of Oxon Hill, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Prince George's County Police Department has identified a person killed in a recent fatal crash that remains under investigation.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the crash, which occurred earlier this month in District Heights. The deceased passenger is 48-year-old Corey Forrest of Oxon Hill.

On July 15, 2022, at approximately 10:35 p.m., officers said they responded to Pennsylvania Avenue near Brooks Drive for a collision.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that Forrest was a passenger in a car traveling northbound on Pennsylvania Avenue, when for reasons that are under investigation, the car left the roadway and ultimately came to rest in a parking lot striking multiple unoccupied vehicles.

The driver was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Forrest was also taken to a hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries on July 19, 2022.
