PGCPS Teacher Accused Of Sexually Abusing Student: Police

BLADENSBURG, MD — Police have accused a teacher at Bladensburg High School of sexually abusing a female student.

On Oct. 10, a student reported that 29-year-old Thomas Barber of Annapolis "engaged in sexual contact with her – both on and off school grounds since the school year began," according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

"Prince George’s County Police detectives spoke to Barber yesterday who admitted to the sexual abuse of this student," the report states. "He is charged with sexual abuse of a minor and related charges."

This is the only reported case of sexual abuse involving Barber, police said.
