Report Of Gunfire Leads To Body In PG County: Police

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — Police are investigating a fatal shooting in District Heights earlier this week.

Police were called to the 5000 block of Silver Hill Court at around 7 p.m. on Oct. 21 to a report of a shooting, and they found 33-year-old Kelvin Carter of Southeast D.C. with gunshot wounds, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department. Carter was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police are trying to establish a motive and identify a suspect or suspects.
