Shots Fired, High Schooler Robbed In Bowie: Police

The student suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, according to police.

BOWIE, MD — A high school student was robbed, with shots ringing out shortly after the incident on Monday, according to Bowie police.

Officers responded around 2:30 p.m. to the 15200 block of Annapolis Road, where a Bowie High School student had been approached by a person in a black Acura demanding the student’s Moose Knuckles jacket, police said.

The student suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, according to police.

A bystander tried to follow the Acura, but one of the people associated with the vehicle fired two shots in the air, causing the bystander to stop, police said.

Both of the people tied to the robbery and shooting were masked, and one was armed with a semiautomatic handgun, according to police.
