Two people were in a vehicle that was hit by a train early Tuesday morning in Bladensburg, officials say.

According to the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department, a CSX train collided with a car around 5:45 a.m. near Lawrence Place and Kenilworth Avenue. Two people were evaluated at the scene but chose not to be taken to the hospital.

BLADENSBURG, MD — Two people were evaluated by emergency workers after a CSX train collided with a vehicle on the train tracks.

According to the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department, the incident happened around 5:45 a.m. near Lawrence Place and Kenilworth Avenue.

The two people inside the vehicle were evaluated at the scene but didn't want to be taken to the hospital.

Crews remained at the scene for several hours to clear the area and help with safety checks along the CSX rail line, officials stated.

In October 2024, a car was hit by a train at Kenilworth Avenue and 52nd in Bladensburg.
