Underwear-Clad Man Dies In PG County Ambulance: Police
A man wearing only underwear and acting erratically died while in police custody in an ambulance, police say.

BOWIE, MD — Police are investigating after a man wearing nothing but a pair of underwear and socks died while in police custody in a Prince George's County ambulance, police say.
Police were called to the 1400 block of Kings Manor Drive at around 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 18 after a ride share reported that a naked man was knocking on doors of homes on the street, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.
"The driver advised that the unknown male appeared to be under the influence of 'something,'" the report states. "The driver reported the man had stopped on the porch of one house. The homeowner was out of town, but her doorbell surveillance system alerted her to the man’s presence. She attempted to speak with the unknown man through the doorbell system, but he was incoherent."

Medics were taking his vitals for about 20 minutes when the man suddenly "went into acute distress," police say, adding that medics asked officers to take him out of the handcuffs and then performed CPR on him, but he was pronounced dead.
Police identified him as 38-year-old Kevin Antonio Jessie of Bowie.
"An autopsy is expected to be performed on Monday to determine cause and manner of death," the report states. "As a matter of standard operating procedure, the Special Investigative Response Team of our Internal Affairs Division is investigating the circumstances surrounding the event."
