NoVA Man Dies After Being Shot At Party, Ft. Washington Woman Arrested

A Fort Washington woman has been arrested in the fatal shooting of an Alexandria, Virginia, man at a house party July 13.

TEMPLE HILLS, MD — A teenager from Northern Virginia shot at a house party has died and a suspect has been charged in the incident that happened in Temple Hills Sunday.

On July 13 around 3:20 a.m., Prince George's County police officers were called to a home in the 5400 block of Broadwater Street for a report of a shooting. They found 18-year-old Darlyn Florian-Granados of Alexandria, Virginia, in the home with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to an area hospital, where he died on July 15, according to police.

Detectives with the PGGPD Gun Crimes Unit launched an investigation that indicated the victim and the shooting suspect were at a party when the shooting happened. They identified 20-year-old Keyri Escalante of Fort Washington as the suspect.

She has been arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder, according to the police department.
