COTTAGE CITY, MD — A van struck an 85-year-old pedestrian in Cottage City earlier this week and then left the scene, police say. Police were called to the <a href="http://pgpolice.blogspot.com/2019/08/pgpd-searching-for-driver-van-that.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">3400 block of Bladensburg Road</a> at around 6 a.m. on Aug. 26 and found the victim in the roadway, who they rushed to the hospital, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department. Police found a driver's side mirror at the scene, leading them to believe that the vehicle is a 2015-2019 Ford Transit van, color unknown, the report states. Police say it is possible the driver did not know he or she struck the pedestrian. Police ask anyone with information to contact them via pgcrimesolvers.com.
