Video Released Of Shooting Suspect On Bike, $25K Reward Offered For Tips

PGPD has released video of a shooting suspect riding a bike to and from the scene. A $25K reward has been offered for info in the case.

LAUREL, MD — Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that happened July 25. There's a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.

According to the Prince George's County Police Department, officers were called to the area of 13200 block of Laurel Bowie Road around 10:20 p.m. for a report of a shooting. They found 33-year-old William Denard Askew of Greenbelt in the road with gunshot wounds. He died at the scene, according to officers.

The suspect arrived at the scene on a bicycle and fled the scene on that same bicycle. Detectives are working to determine a motive for the murder.
